Al Hilal defeated fierce rivals Al Ittihad on Saturday night to win the Saudi Super Cup at Loftus Road in London.

Carlos Euardo opened the scoring for Al Hilal from close range, before setting up Gelmin Rivas to double the lead with a fine solo effort just after the hour mark.

The Riyadh club, who gave UAE star Omar Abdulrahman his debut, where pegged back on 67 minutes through Morocco international Karim Al Ahmadi deflected strike, but held on to win the trophy for teh first time in fron of big crowd in London.

It is not the first time the Saudi Super Cup has been played in the English capital.

Al Hilal lost the 2015 final at Loftus Road to Al Nassr, and year later to Al Ahli at Craven Cottage.
