Pyramids FC continue to make a splash around the world.

The newly formed superclub, formerly Al Assiouty, may only be four league matches into their history but have brought a level of attention to Egyptian domestic football unseen in years.

Thanks to the investment of owner Turki Alalsheikh, Chairman of the General Sports Authority in Saudi Arabia, Pyramids have imported a host new players from Brazil to compliment their Egyptian contingent, and currently sit in second place in the Egyptian Premier League behind traditional giants Al Ahly.

The club has also established it’s on television channel, Pyramids TV, which regularly features former Egypt, Ajax and Tottenham star Mido, as well as star guests like Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Robbie Keane and John Terry.

Pyramid FC’s latest media blitz involved splashing adverts of the club’s banners and its guests in one of the most recognisable and high profile locations on the planet, Times Square in New York.

Expect more of this kind of exposure from the club during the rest of the season.
