WATCH: Pyramids maintain early season momentum with 3-1 win over El Dakhleya

Pyramids FC climbed to second place in the Egyptian Premier League after a 3-1 home win over El Dakhleya on Sunday night.

It was not as easy as the scoreline suggested, however, with victory only secured in the final few minutes of the match.

Brazilian Keno gave Pyramids the lead on 28 minutes, finishing from close range after a neat exchange of passes with Nasr Mansi.

Islam Gaber equalised for El Dakhleya six minutes into the second half with a left-footed volley after some fine control inside the Pyramids box.

Pyramids were kept waiting for their win until the final stages, Ali Gabr scoring the decisive goal on 87 minutes with a towering header.

As El Dakhleya desperately threw men forward to save the match deep into stoppage time, Pyramids broke away and scored the third through Mohamed Magdy’s tap in.
