“We’ve got Salah… oh Mane, Mane…”

Impossibly catch tune by Liverpool fan has gone viral…

It’s the song all football fans are talking about.

Last week Philippe Coutinho left Liverpool to Barcelona for £142 m, making him the second most expensive player of all time after his friend and fellow Brazilian Neymar.

Though many Liverpool fans did not take the news well, one particlular supporter decided to see the light side of the situation by dedicating a song to the remaining three members of what had become know as the Fab Four.

And so, to the tune of “Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies, was born this impossibly catch tune…

“We’ve got Salah…

Oh, Mane, Mane…

Bobby Firmino…

But we sold Coutinho…”

The song quickly went viral after football fans got hold of the original by Kevin Murphy (aka Richy Sheehy)…

After the song started spreading on social media, its author was invited on Sky Sports show Soccer AM…

West Ham centre half James Collins joined in before his team’s match against Huddersfield…

And so did British hockey player Samantha Quek MBE  after Liverpool beat Manchester City 4-3 on Sunday…

It made it to New York…

Now many fans are posting their own versions of the tune that’s unlikely to be forgotten anytime soon…
